I cant decide on ipb or vb...
IPB is cleaner, crisper and just all around easier to navigate. The mods are 10 times better and more in depth. Its also cheaper. the whole design is just good. IPB (For lifetime) is $185.00 and vB is $160.00. As for vB being "messier" than IPB, it isn't. It's just more complex. What MODs are you thinking of installing? Check www.vbulletin.org (http://www.vbulletin.org) if that's what you're after. You won't be able to download hacks b/c you're not a vB liscence holder, but you can see what has been done. Plus, on modding: vB has a plugin system, so you don't always have to modify the core files. Yes, sometimes you have to (hint to Jelsoft: Put more hooks in AdminCP!!!) but you can get away with quite a lot.
