size of market for private schools for children under 7 years old

  • I would like to understand how much money is spent in the United States on private schools for children under 7 years old (and, by the way, I'm happy if the estimate is for under 6 or under 8, the age "7" is only an approximation) By "private schools" I mean schools that are paid out of the parents' pocket (without public funds), and that include not just formal education and parochials schools, but also informal education such as dance lessons, art lessons, etc. However, an answer that just provided an estimate of "formal" private school spending for this age range would be acceptable. For bonus points (and bonus dollars): if you have a way to find out how much this category of schools spends on advertising (average advertising budget of such a school, either in absolute dollars or as a percentage of their total receipts) that would be great, but not expected.

  • Thank you very much for the five star rating and generous tip! --Bobbie7
