Is buying a plasma better than an LCD HDTV or vice versa?

  • Our sorry MITSUBISHI WD-52525 went out again and I am just not wanting to deal with it anymore. So I was thinking about buying a Sharp PLASMA Tv this weekend since they will be about $500.00 off its a 52' for $899.99 but I am not sure if I just should spend a little more and buy a HDTV, not really sure of the difference.

    Any suggestions?? Help? Thanks in advance.


  • Definitely plasma! I know about all the complaints that they leak, but if its from Sharp, its good. It will be much better than HDTV unless the HDTV is itself a Sharp HDTV


  • I know 3 people who have had plasma TV's. All 3 of them say Don't Get One! They leak.


  • Sorry ! Sharp do not made any Plasma TV. Sharp only made good LCD TV from the pass 20 years, the world first LCD TV is from Sharp. any way, mose maker soon give out Plasma TV.If you are only looking for Plasma , Pioneer is the best, and Pioneer Plasma is WORLD BEST TV. even better than another LCD TV in the market . but for other LG / Panasonic / Samsung....plasma, you better get LCD ! Samsung / Sony / Sharp / Toshiba / Panasonic LCD HD or FULL HD ( 1080 i ) is good LCD TV.
